Lying is something that everybody does. If you didn't lie at least once in your life, you're a saint.
Lying can get us through sticky situations, and lets us get what we want. We also lie...to keep secrets. But most of the time, we get caught lying. Or worse, our secrets are revealed.
I believe that secrets don't stay secrets for long. They reveal themselves through time. They could turn into gossip, speculations, and wild guesses. And when ppl find out that they're true. They could be used for blackmail, making a person look ridiculous, and to humiliate the person/s involved in the said secret. They could even be changed to something false and damaging to ruin the person/s involved [in other words, slandering them].
I may not be as smart as Einstein, but I'm not an idiot. I can often tell when somebody is lying. I guess i just don't tell 'em that i know what they're doing - most of the time. Based on my experiences, they usually lie because they're keeping a secret or two. And sometimes, i get to know what that secret is - without their knowledge. I usually keep it to myself.
Moving on, i just wanted to say that i wanted to thank someone who told me that i have been his/her [i won't say which] "diary". I hope the ones that i consider my diaries have a lock and no key.
